Declare for Last Meet + RSVP for Banquet + Patti Wilder

    Hello Gator fans!

What another great win last night!! Y'all swam hard and fast and did your absolute best! More records and personal records were attained!

    • We had 63 swimmers (76% of our swimmers!) set new fastest times
    • 118 new fastest times were set this week
    • 5 new Arbor Bridge records were set

    What talent!

And we have our last meet coming just in 6 days (boo!). Don't forget to declare your swimmer by this Friday so, once again, we can work on the line-up over the weekend. This time we are at HOME! So, we can make any changes we need before 11am Monday after everyone views their entries at practice that morning. This will be our toughest meet! So, come ready to swim!

The last meet's theme is PINK-OUT for Breast Cancer Awareness. Wear all the pink you can find! We will have little tattoos and other goodies for sale to help raise money! Our very own head official's, Jason Frankel, wife has breast cancer, so this cause is near and dear to his heart. Let's show up for them!

Tuesday morning after our last meet there will be NO AM practice. Rest and be ready for a fun time for our banquet that evening! Please RSVP.

End of Season Banquet: June 23rd, 5-8pm.

Don't forget to RSVP for the End of Season Banquet so we have as accurate head count as possible. You do not need the SwimTopia app to do this. Go to our website: arbgators.swimtopia.com and sign-in. Go to Meets & Events, scroll to the bottom and you'll see where to RSVP for the banquet. If you are able to help with handing out food, please let Beverly know so she can pass it along to our concession's coordinators!

    Patti Wilder Meet: June 26th-28th

For those participating in the Patti Wilder meet, we will have practices next Wednesday and Thursday morning. These times will be discussed with the coaches after practice today. More than likely we will hold two 1-hour practices for age groups 5-10 and then 11+ starting at 9am. So, ages 5-10 practice from 9am-10am, and then 11+ practice from 10am-11am. These are optional practices for those in Patti Wilder, but we highly encourage practice to keep your muscles loose! And we will have a team luncheon at IHOP at Johnson Ferry Road and Shallowford Road after practice has concluded on Thursday. Arbor Bridge will be covering just the athlete's meals. Parents are responsible for their meals, and any siblings not participating in the meet.

Next Thursday evening there will be warm-ups for the Patti Wilder at Mountain View Aquatic Center off of Gordy Pkwy starting at 5pm. This is a great opportunity for those who have never jumped off of real blocks before can practice their dives before their meet day.

Meet days: The top 3 swimmers in each INDIVIDUAL event (this is the result of the finals session for ages 7-18 individual events) in the Patti Wilder Meet will have the opportunity to represent the Cobb County team at the GRPA State Meet.

    • Friday - ages 13-18 - Be to the aquatic center by 7:15am - warm-ups begin at 7:30am. Prelims begin at 9:15am. If you qualify, the finals meet will be that evening starting at 2 hours for warm-ups after prelims have finished, then 3 hours after prelims have finished will the meet start.
    • Saturday - ages 9-12 - Be to the aquatic center by 7:15am - warm-ups begin at 7:30am. Prelims begin at 9:15am. If you qualify, the finals meet will be that evening starting at 2 hours for warm-ups after prelims have finished, then 3 hours after prelims have finished will the meet start.
    • Sunday - ages 5-8 - Be to the aquatic center by 7:15am - warm-ups begin at 7:30am. Finals begin at 9:15am. There will be no afternoon swim sessions.

Top 20 swimmers in each event of the 9-18 age groups are qualified to return for the finals the same day, which is 3 hours after the first session ends (typically around 2 or 3pm).

IF YOU QUALIFY - (ages 7-18 - top 3 swimmers) bring your birth certificate to the main table in the front entry of Mountain View and declare your swimmer within 30 minutes of your event that you qualify in. If you do NOT declare your swimmer's intentions for the State Meet, held in Columbus, GA on July 25th and 26th then the opportunity goes to the next swimmer in line. The top 3 swimmers in each INDIVIDUAL event (this is the result of the finals session for ages 7-18 individual events) in the Patti Wilder Meet will have the opportunity to represent the Cobb County team at the GRPA State Meet. There will be no ages 5-6 for the GRPA meet.

    Let's get it, Gators!!!
